Bram E. Gieben (AKA Texture) is a writer based in Edinburgh. He is the Chief Editor of Weaponizer Press, and co-curator the netlabel Black Lantern Music.

Bram was a member of the team that started The Skinny, Scotland’s biggest listings and culture magazine, where he is the current subeditor, and a features writer. Bram has also written freelance for The List, Clash and other publications.

In 2011, he joined Writer’s Bloc, and in 2012 his unpublished novel was nominated for the CWA’s Debut Dagger Award. He has read his fiction at the 2011 Edinburgh Book Festival, the 2011 Edinburgh Science Festival, at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2010 and 2011, and at literary events across the UK. His fiction has been published by Timid Pirate Press and Drey Magazine.

Bram has also performed hip-hop-influenced spoken word poetry across Scotland as a solo performer, and as part of Chemical Poets. His hip-hop and electronic music can be found on Bandcamp.

Bram blogs on Tumblr. He has a monthly column for The Skinny about netaudio callled NETVERK, and is a co-host of Radio Magnetic‘s Shallow Rave Show. Go bug him on Twitter.
